When We All Crossed Over

Chapter 5

After the white-clad man's explanation, Xiao Ai and the other six finally understood they had landed in Qingzhou on the Nine Provinces Continent. This white-clad man was named Su Heng, a demon catcher from the Azure Star Palace of Qingzhou, specializing in capturing inhuman creatures like the Green Lizard that harmed humans.

After learning some relevant information about the Nine Provinces Continent, the seven of them still couldn't be sure whether this world was an alternate dimension or a third space, but that didn't matter anymore. The most important thing right now was to fill their stomachs. After all the commotion this morning, everyone was already starving, their stomachs growling.

Fortunately, this Su Heng was quite chivalrous. After subduing the green-robed figure and reverting it to its original, shrunken form sealed in a small porcelain vial, he thumped his chest and promised to repay them.

Faced with such an offer, as modern youths of the 21st century, they naturally wouldn't feel embarrassed to accept it. But looking at the desolate surroundings, they couldn't help but wonder how long it would take to reach a town, and then how much longer before they could eat. At the thought of this, the fat one, who was the least resistant to hunger, wore a miserable expression and slumped on the ground, refusing to budge.

Xu Haoyue and A Xu, afraid of losing face, rolled their eyes and propped up the fat one's arms, using all their strength to haul him up.

Meanwhile, Xiao Ai and Little Wu, buzzing with excitement, pestered Su Heng with endless questions.

"Hey, Su Heng, how can that Green Lizard turn into a human? Is it like a demon that cultivated a human form?"

"How do you cultivate your... magic or whatever? Look at me, see if I have any talent."

"Ah, Old Xu, forget about cultivation for now! Su Heng, aren't there any towns nearby? We're starving, where can we get food? And, you can fly, right? You can just fly over, but what about us?"

Surrounded by the group, Su Heng couldn't answer everyone at once. He took a deep breath and shouted, "I see you're all hungry. Let's enter the city first; we can discuss other matters later."

Xiao Ai and the others still wanted to ask something, but suddenly their vision went dark, and they felt weightless. Terrified that she was about to fall, she clung tightly to Su Heng beside her. When she opened her eyes, she found they were all standing on a bustling street. Probably because their clothing was different from the people here, they attracted quite a lot of attention.

Especially Xiao Ai and Le You. They were also wearing the red-and-white training uniforms of the Changwen Martial Arts Hall, but on the bus that morning, both had taken off their jackets. Although they had long pants on the bottom, their tops were short-sleeved and tight-fitting. Already, several scholars looking at them had noses bleeding.

Su Heng hurriedly took off his outer robe and handed it to the two of them. A Xu, who was nearby, also took off his jacket and passed it over. Le You accepted A Xu's jacket, so Xiao Ai had no choice but to take Su Heng's outer robe and put it on. Su Heng was so tall that when she put it on, it dragged on the ground. She could only hold it up partially as she walked forward, making the whole situation quite awkward.

Little Wu, the fat one, and Jing Yuan snickered behind them several times.

They finally reached a restaurant, and the eight of them immediately commandeered a large square table. Su Heng was not only chivalrous but also well-off, casually tossing out a silver ingot.

The restaurant attendant saw this and immediately came over with enthusiastic greetings.

While the others were busy ordering dishes, A Xu began to carefully observe the surroundings. The clothing of the people here looked very similar to ancient times, and the restaurant also had an antique charm. If not for never having heard of this dynasty, they might have been more inclined to think they had traveled back in time.

Soon, Jing Yuan and Xiao Ai were also drawn in. The three of them huddled their heads together and whispered for a long time, but still couldn't make heads or tails of it.

While they were talking, the dishes were already served. The fat one and Little Wu immediately started wolfing down the food without a care.

Le You held back for a moment, but finally couldn't resist her hunger and sped up her eating.

By the time the three of them snapped out of their discussion, nearly half the food on the table was gone. Even Xu Haoyue, who always prided himself on being elegant, was currently gnawing on a large chicken leg. The three hurriedly joined the fray.

Seeing that they seemed to still be hungry, Su Heng promptly ordered a few more dishes.

Xiao Ai picked up her chopsticks, stuffing her favorite dishes into her mouth, eating with great delight. Suddenly, she heard a commotion at the entrance. While still eating, she didn't forget to check out the excitement, quickly lifting her head to see what was happening outside.

She saw many people gathered outside the door, and then a noble-looking young man slowly appeared at the entrance. He wore a jade crown, his black long hair tied up high. He was draped in a long robe with blue-and-white fragmented patterns, and the inner garment faintly visible was a white shirt with embroidered designs.

Most importantly, this man's face was as fair as jade, with red lips and white teeth. His smile was brilliantly bright, like a warm sun in winter.

Xiao Ai couldn't help but stand up, food still unswallowed in her mouth, and exclaimed indistinctly, "Holy crap, he's so damn handsome! Sister Youyou, look, look quickly!"

Le You, shaken by her, couldn't hold her food with the chopsticks and had to look up. After seeing him, she also gasped in surprise repeatedly. The few men nearby, however, snorted in disdain after looking.
